I have not updated this in a while, but I can thankfully say it's because I have been so busy with Fashion's Night Out, and Fashion Week. Kaydee also came up to visit me :) Which I was so excited for. I can say more that I don't exactly miss home, but the people I miss so much.
Thursday September 8, 2011
We went out for Fashion's Night Out, Carleen, Lauren, me, and Candice. It was a lot of fun actually and a new experience. We went to Bloomingdale's to see Rachel Zoe which we got so close. I just wish we knew where the line was to meet her, but oh well. We then went to Bergdorf Goodman's to maybe catch a glimpse of Michael Kors or Oscar de la Renta, but we didn't haha. We only saw the live models in the windows. Then we adeventured to Soho. We stopped by the Betsey Johnson store which also had live models, yogurt, cake pops, and champagne. We then went back to the dorms, ordered a crazy amount of food and went to bed.

Friday I picked up Kaydee from the train station, and we went to lunch at a place called Fetch. We then adventured to Soho with Lauren and Melanie. The difference of amount of people from the night before was insane. We shopped, window shopped, and went to lunch. I love Soho so much. It's so pretty. That night we decided to go out with Fernando, and Carleen as well. It was a fail sort of night, but that's another story.
Saturday Day September 10, 2011
Saturday Kaydee and I woke up and went to lunch with her cousin Jeff. We went to this small place called the Grey Dog. It was delicious! I definitely have to go back sometime soon. After that I dropped Kaydee off at the train station and made my way to Band of Outsiders Fashion Show I had to volunteer for. It was in at this awesome setting on the the lower west side. We had to be stand in models to figure out correct placement and such. Next we sat and waited to be dressers, who dress the models for the show. We waited for a couple hours, but it was worth it since we got to watch the whole behind the scenes action; set-up, photographers, show run through, everything. We then went back stage and began dressing models. I don't have any picture from that since my phone deleted them and Fernando hasn't put them up yet, but I'll add them when he does. We did meet Brad Goreski though at the show!!!! Ahh!!!
Saturday Night September 10, 2011
Melanie, Lauren, and I decided we were going to out and have a good time. We got all dressed up for a spotlight party; you wear green if you're single, yellow if you're not sure, and red if you're taken. It was fun, and jam packed. We were like sardines. After a couple hours a fight started to break out and within 2 seconds Melanie had grabbed me and Lauren and we were outside hailing a cab to go home. Once we got to the dorms we got into the elevator and 15 other people decided to cram themselves in behind us. Well, we all got stuck and the elevator stopped moving. After 35 minutes of being trapped the NYFD arrived and opened the doors to the elevator. We ended the night with pizza haha.
Sunday September 11, 2011
Today was interesting as well. Melanie, Lauren, and I went to Lincoln Center where Fashion Week is held. We watched the Teen Vogue Fashion Show, which was pretty good. Rachel met up with us then too. After that we went over to the theatre to wait outside and see which fashionista we could spot. We ended up seeing a ton! Shay Mitchell, and Amy Astley were at the TVFS. Outside of the theatre we saw Nina Garcia, Valentino, Teen Vogue fashion news director Jane Keltner de Valle, Nicky Hilton, Steven Kolb, and Brad Goreski.
All-in-all this weekend has been pretty exciting and I could not be happier with my choice in college and the people I've become friends with so far :)
