Saturday was a great day too. Rachel took us on an adventure to Brooklyn to go thrift shopping. We stopped at Beacon's Closet, Salvation Army, and Buffalo Exchange. It was honestly the most successful day ever. Plus we went to this really cute restaurant. That night we all went went out for the first time which was an experience. I can say from that we probably won't be going out too often haha.

Everyday I'm Shufflinggggg

So I've missed a couple days recently so I thought I'd do a catch up of the weekend. Friday all the groups had to volunteer somewhere and luckily we were blessed to volunteer at a thrift store warehouse called Housing Works in Queens. We sorted clothes and tagged them. We even found some fabulous pieces; 2 piece Givenchy suit, 2 piece Versace suit (both for $200), and so many other brands I'd only dream of coming across. After that we had meetings and then our boat cruise, which was far from what I thought it would be. The food was ok, the water was rocky, the weather was storming, but I can say this. I'm beginning to find my place in a small group of really good people.

NYC definitely kicked my ass...

Today was a fun filled packed day. We met with our OLs and then had lunch, which we had to wait for 45 minutes since somehow the school underestimated the amount of students that would be there. After that we started the scavenger hunt. It totally kicked my ass. We walked so much, but I think my team did pretty well. We were in the running the last half hour so I'll find out tomorrow if we won :)

Tuesday August 22, 2011 I moved into LIM college in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was a huge adventure to finally go away to college. They've surely kept us busy with so many activities. I've met a lot of great people, plus keeping my friends I've met months earlier. I can honestly say that I could not be happier with my college decision.

Here's just some uploads of Lauren (my room mate) and my room. We need to decorate, but that'll all come in good time:

First day outfit :) We had a guest speaker Zandile Blay who was so funny and real that it was freshing. We were split up into our orientation groups, and I must say I have some pretty badass people in my group. We a floor meeting which took forever but at least now I know how to evacuate the building :)
